TELEMEDICINE SERVICES
We are providing some services remotely when possible via text and email appointments FOR CURRENT PATIENTS ONLY. The AVMA and state law require that we have seen you and your pet in person within the past year to provide telemedicine services.
Services
EMERGENCIES
Most emergencies require on-site diagnostic testing ability (xrays, bloodwork, etc.), staffing on-site, and ability to hospitalize sick pets. Brick-and-mortar practices are generally better suited to handle emergencies than mobile services. While we may be able to advise you via text, WE DO NOT DO EMERGENCY VISITS.
-We are doing surgeries and teeth cleaning again on a wait-list basis. Our wait list is often full. We are not currently doing any spay/neuter.
SCHEDULED SERVICES
Most of our services are provided at our tent "office" at Amy Greenwell Botanic Garden across from Manago Hotel in Captain Cook. All dogs must be leashed and cats in a carrier at the market.
Services provided here include:
-Wellness examinations for preventative care, including flea and tick medications, heartworm preventative, and vaccinations for puppies, kittens, and adult dogs and cats. Travel certificates are also available with advance notice.
-Sick pet examinations for ear infections, skin rashes, allergies, small wounds, limping, lethargy, weight loss, arthritis, tooth infections, etc.
-Medications needed for fleas, ticks, worms, arthritis, infections and skin rashes.
-Diagnostics on-site are limited but we can draw blood to send out to mainland labs as needed
CANCELLATION POLICY: 24 hours notice is required for cancellation of your appointment. Appointments are scheduled every 20 minutes. If you do not come to your appointment (on time), you will be required to pay a $40 no-show fee and pre-pay for your next visit*. On your third offense, you need to find another vet. We have too many other patients who need care that are waiting weeks for appointments.
*New clients MUST show up to their scheduled appointment or will not be rescheduled.
